Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

I think that DIRTY DEEDS DONE DIRT CHEAP is a must have for any fan of hard rock. While it seems that this album has somewhat been dismissed by some, what really counts is the music, and we have some good music on this album folks. 9 tracks of pure rock n roll energy, no filler here. Besides the classic title track, we are lucky enough to have the pleasure of listening to LOVE AT FIRST FEEL, and SQUEALER. Songs that tell us something that has been around rock bands since the beginning, underage schoolgirls. ROCKER is just straight in your face rock that never slows down enough for you to catch your breath. RIDE ON, PROBLEM CHILD, GONNA BE SOME ROCKIN, AINT NO FAN, are just great rock songs that you should enjoy. BIG BALLS might be juvenile, but so what, rock music isnt supposed to be serious all the time. so go out and by this album and crank you stereo to 10 and just enjoy it.

This CD is no-holds-barred, party all night classic hard rock, plain and simple. You can definitely tell that Bon Scott and the rest of the band were having some major fun on this album. AC/DC is one of those bands that can rock you out of your seat any time you hear one of their songs. All the tracks here are just plain good music. Highlights include the title track, "Big Balls," "Rocker," "Problem Child," (the guitar solos on this track will blow your mind!) "Ride On," and "Squealer." "Ride On" is simply awesome, a great bit of insight into the life of Bon Scott. I'd definitely recommend this CD, right up there with "Back In Black."

When i bought this i was looking foward to "hard rock" like on BACK IN BLACK,FLY ON THE WALL,or,FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK.This album is crap!When i put it on,i listened to DIRTY DEEDS,and track 2 came on(skip),track 3(skip),track 4(skip)
,track 5(skip),track 6(skip),track 7(skip),track 8(skip),untill
track #9(which is "squealer")I didn't skip,now(to me),Brian Johnson is way better than Bon(though he's good too).I think that this would've been better with Brian.Dont get this album if you're new to AC/DC,get either BACK IN BLACK,HIGHWAY TO HELL,
FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK,FLICK OF THE SWITCH,FLY ON THE WALL,LET THERE BE ROCK,or THE RAZORS EDGE.But if you're a big fan,you'll like it.

I am a huge fan of AC/DC and all of their albums are good but this AC/DC CD is the worst!! The title song and Love at first feel are the only songs that i like. There is a song on the CD called "Big Balls". What was AC/DC thinking?

AC/DC's 1981 album digitally remastered and reissued in a special digipak plus a 16 page full color booklet containing all original album art, many unpublished photos, classic memorabilia and new 2003 liner notes. Epic.

While Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap sounds like every other AC/DC album, it is distinguished by a lyrical puerility spectacular even by Bon Scott's standards. Two tracks--"Love at First Feel" and "Squealer"--are ruminations on the morality of sex with schoolgirls. "Big Balls," ostensibly a narrative from the perspective of an aristocrat socialite, is actually a somewhat labored excuse for the band to chant "We've got big balls." This juvenile posturing was, to a large degree, AC/DC winding up their burgeoning foreign audience by playing to stereotypical expectations of Australians. On Dirty Deeds, however, AC/DC try too hard. Only on "Ain't No Fun (Waiting Round to Be a Millionaire)" is Scott's laconic wit deployed to real effect: the sheer glee in the line "Get your fuckin' jumbo jet off my airport!" is almost worth the album's purchase price. --Andrew Mueller
