I've used it before and know it's characteristics (5 star review)
This tape shouldn't be called duct tape because it's not like the traditional "tough" tape. It has no cloth in it. It is a thin vinyl tape that is slightly ridged to make it easy to tear. The adhesive is light as stated by others.
Long story short:We roll long electrical cables up and then roll them out later. Also pull alot of cables thru conduits. This tape is perfect for bundling them in the interim. It leaves little or no residue which is a big plus for us. We prefer the white or grey. 3M has a product(3403) that's nearly identical which is called "Electrician's Bundling Tape" and that's the best description.

on the cheapish side of the street (1 star review)
thin, too much cloth for my liking and way too little adhesive capability. i think it is ineffective for what one wants duct tape to do,
